The Virgin Swimmer

The Swimmer, our first event and the gateway to the launch of Above Below. What started nearly ten years as a bit of a jolly with our mates has grown to have a bit of a cult following with the same faces turning up once a month in the winter for an informal half marathon across the parks and ponds of London. Joining these familiar faces is always a fantastic group of first timers, some are nervous, some are worried about the distance, others aren’t sure about the cold water and some are just raring to go.

Last month one of these newcomers was Virgin Radio presenter Vassos Alexander, as a runner and cold water swimmer we knew it he'd fit right in with our eclectic group of regulars.
